CONTESTING GUIDELINES
Search by license plate, state and agency.
Citations may take up to five days to be uploaded into the database by the issuing agency.
Search online by the license plate of the vehicle that was issued the citation. Citations issued to
that vehicle will be listed.
You may choose to pay any or all of the citations at this time. However, if the citations continue to go unpaid, a late fee will be assessed and a DMV registration hold will be placed on the vehicle.
You have 21 days from the date of the citation, or 14 days from the mailing date of the notice of delinquent parking violation to pay the original fine amount. After that time, late fees will be assessed.
Per California Vehicle Code Sections 40202 & 40207a.
You have 21 calendar days from the date the citation was issued or 14 calendar days from the mailing date of the notice of delinquent parking violation to pay the original fine amount or contest the citation.
